COMPASSION

The Buddhists regard compassion as one of the highest virtues. The word means to have an empathetic experience with another. The Toltecs strive to exit both the established social order, and to lessen their emotional reactivity; therefore, this card would imply a residual attachment to social order and self-pity. This card may be taken in either context: either that of needing to experience compassion, or of taking compassion too far into self-pity.
